Donald Quarter Horses is a small training,
breeding, and boarding facility five miles northwest of Brandon,
Manitoba. We are 1 mile off the Transcanada Highway and are
always home for anyone to drop in to see a horse or just visit.
Brian works for Petro Canada and trains
horses on the side. He specializes in 2 yr old pleasure horses
but does different disciplines as well, Everything from Warmbloods
to Canadians are welcome here. Sandy is a Nurse in the Assiniboine
Regional Health Authority and shows, judges, rides and is the
chore girl.
We always have a few trained horses
for sale. In the 2009 season we will be standing our own
stud BNE ZIP FOR CASH.
We have a few boarders at the
ranch, they help out around the ranch and ride with us.
Jack and Arlene Kauenhofen and
Angie Innes, have been with the ranch for 7 or 8 years.
Jack is jack of all trades, helps around the ranch and bales
most of the hay. Angie does chores while we are away and
is a vet assistant and helps with the vet chores on the
place (photo on horseback includes all these people)
Brian trained the 2001 Superhorse
Pot O Gold Futurity winner at Calgery Alberta for a win
of $11,289.00 Three coolers, Belt buckle and a Jacket with
RMW Lucky Lee.
He participates extensively in futurities,
Quarter Horse Shows and usually is out showing a 2 yr old prospect.
Brian trains mainly for
Wasylyniuk Paints & Quarter Horses of Raymore, Sask and
Roy & Sheryl James of Devils Lake, North Dakota. They
both send their good 50-50 2 yr olds for Brian to train and
show. It is so important to have these wonderful friends and
clients in our life. Showing their horses in Manitoba Superhorse
50-50 Futurity, Saskatchewan 50-50 Futurity and North Dakota
50-50 futurity.
We are members of the Alberta 50-50
Pot O Gold Futurity, Manitoba Superhorse 50-50 Futurity and
Saskatchewan 50-50 Futurity. We are members of the Manitoba
Quarter Horse Assoc, The Saskatchewan Quarter Horse Club, MRCHBA
show and futurity and numerous other smaller clubs; we support
our local clubs and associations
Brian accepts training horses approx
10 months of the year. His training horses are ridden in
the show pen and out in the fields and trails. Horses are
well cared for and ridden daily.
Training
$600.00 monthly all inclusive. Lessons $20.00 session
Judging: Sandy is accepting Judging for Western and
English at Fairs, horse shows, etc.

Sandy has 25 years experience in the show ring and
is available to travel for judging or clinics
