Northern Obedience Dog Club is a non-profit organisation staffed by volunteers dedicated to promoting the training and understanding of the dog so that it can be accepted as a true companion in our urban society.

The Club trains people to train their dogs to be obedient, companionable and useful. The club provides you with the opportunity to train your dog, and the fact that our club and others like us exist, show how much interest in dog training as a hobby has increased. Training for most people can be a hobby that is enjoyed by both dog and owner.

WHAT DOES NORTHERN OBEDIENCE DOG CLUB OFFER YOU?
The opportunity:

• To train your dog to be a well behaved canine citizen.
• To participate in an interesting hobby where you can make lifelong friends.
• The opportunity to train your dog to a standard where you can compete in Obedience and Agility Trials.
• The opportunity to participate in Members Competitions that are held throughout the year.
• To train your dog every Sunday (except our Open Agility Trial Day in July and our Open Obedience Trial Day in September) between the 1st Sunday in February and the 1st Sunday in December.
• Wednesday night training is available within this period.

How to Join
Any dog between the ages of 8 weeks and 24 weeks is welcome to commence
training in the Puppy Class.
Dogs six months or older commence training in Class One.

VETERINARY REQUIREMENTS
Your dog must be vaccinated against
· Canine Distemper
· Canine Hepatitis
· Parvo Virus
Certificate must be produced when enrolling
