Feeding

For tiny puppies that eat like birds you will need to pay close attention to how much the puppy eats. It is important that dry food is kept in the bowl at all times and that the puppy has access to food at all times.For puppies that do not care for the dry food I suggest you soak 2 tablespoons of dry with chicken broth for 10 minutes and then serve. Do this 2-3 times aday. Also you can take 1 tablespoon dry puppy food and mush up ONE
GERBER MEATSTICK ..serve 2-3 times a day. Throw away whatever damp food mixture puppy doesn't eat within 20 minutes.

Also you can try soaking 2 tablespoons DRY PUPPYFOOD in 2 tablespoons puppy milk or "ensure" milk product. Only soak about 2 tablespoons of dry food at a time because you will need to throw any food that the puppy does not eat within 30 minutes . Use dry puppy food alone or mush meatsticks/ cottage cheese/Gerber baby foodchicken into it.

The puppies must also have fresh bottled water daily

For those of you with inground pools you must use fencing to keep puppy away.Puppies will drown if they fall into a pool. Many children are loving and holding a new pet is fine ,BUT please teach your children not to carry puppies around as this can cause motion sickness and stomach upset with loss of appetite.None of us would want to be constantly moving around on a ride.

CARING FOR YOUR NEW PUPPY
ITEMS YOU NEED FOR NEW PUPPY
1. PLAYPEN or all wire PUPPYPEN with tray bottom
2. PUPPY MILK or "ensure" canned protien drink
3.First type dry puppy food*** Science Diet small bite puppy
4.Second type dry puppy food Eunkanuba small bite puppy
5.*** NUTRICAL is a gel in a tube and give one inch every 4 hours to a puppy
that isnt eating
6.Babyfood chicken and meatsticks from grocery store GERBER.
7.A simple canned dog food with just chicken and rice plus vitimins as the
only ingredients.I use *** Science Diet canine A/D canned
8.Hand mirror with handle that has a hole in it so you can tie to inside of
playpen or puppypen.
9. Womb bear or heartbeat bear
10.Platic ticking clock wrapped in a pillowcase.
11.Heating pad wrapped in a pillow case set on LOW. CORD COVERS to cover the cords.
12. Blue pee pads (Petsmart or Wallmart)

Then for the first 2-4 weeks you will need a babysitter to come in twice a day to play with your puppy and to feed the puppy soft foods.

PEACE AND QUIET
A new puppy in a new environment needs quiet and peace.Make sure your children do not bring all their friends over. Talk to your kids about keeping the thier games and sterio music low.Keep puppy at home for the first few weeks.Gradually your puppy will adjust to your family and lifestyle

All my puppies are raised in baby play pens..this is their safe place ..their blanket fits nicely on one side and the pads for training on the other...my puppies are all well started on these before they leave home...to go to yours.

Treat bottled water with the v-tek powder sent with your puppy ....mix 1 tablespoon/cup of water keep the treated water fresh daily..and use the package up completely
