“Malte’ was returned to Kennel Rasken’s in 2007. After working on his coat and general condition, Mats and Bettan (Kennel Rasken’s) decided to show him. He has now won his FIRST CC in Sweden. He is also a proven stud dog.
We had been looking for an ADULT dog to purchase for
some time. Some of our top bitches are getting older and need to be bred in
2008. We don’t have time to allow a puppy to mature. So we approached
Kennel Rasken’s and they have allowed this lovely boy to come to live
“Down Under’ in 2008. Malte is bred ‘in the purple’
from some of the best Sweden has to offer. Malte was awarded Dog CC and RUBIS
at the 2008 Cairn Terrier of Victoria's Specialty show from an entry of 63 Cairn
Terriers. The judge was breed specialist, Mr George Ness - Negura.
Malte obtained his Australian Championship title in November 2008. He was awarded
his Swedish title in December 2008. He is the only Swedish Champion at stud
in Australia
He is LITTER BROTHER to Eng Ch Rasken’s Romping Playboy. Robbie has won 9 CC's with 7 BOB. He was RCC at Crufts 2008. He is the first SWEDISH BRED Cairn to achieve the title of English Champion. Robbie is co- owned by Geoff Thomas (Tycadno) and Liz Hooton (Penticharm). Thanks to Geoff Thomas for allowing us to use Robbie’s name in this profile.

Malte’s Dam, Sw Ch Rasken’s
Rich Grey Lark His critique reads as follows: "Grey. Has a wonderful head with true proportions, has to be handled to be appreciated. Dark eyes, neat well placed ears. Good length of neck, correctly angulated shoulders. Well made body, nicely ribbed with enough depth. She can use her lovely hind quarters. At times a touch lazy but on the move I liked her overall shape and balance". |
His sire, Int/Sw/NUCH Rasken’s
Royal Trademark His critique is as follows: "Probably near the upper limit in height at the withers, but boy, what a shape. Beautiful headed, eyes well apart, medium sized and full of spirit. Ears are neat, neck almost arched and he is one of the few who really does stand FORWARD on his forelegs proclaiming. “I am here. Look at me!” So well constructed and balanced with athletic power in a robust frame. When he takes off round the ring he is truly ‘free flowing’ – A STUNNING Cairn". |

THE CREAM ALWAYS RISES TO THE TOP.
